Small Architecture / Natural Architecture is a two-volume collection of essays by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma on his life and career. Working with the translator Alfred Birnbaum, I edited the essays, maintaining Kuma’s conversational tone. I worked with graphic designer Wayne Daly and Kengo Kuma Associates to select the drawings that comprise each book’s coda.
